Description
Calvors Brewery was created in 2008 to brew proper English Lagers, without compromise! We have been crafting award-winning beers ever since, becoming known for our distinctive take on the much-celebrated lager styles of Europe. Sure, we're passionate about lager, but we also love a good ale and brew a growing selection of international styles. Calvors beers challenge the flavour and integrity of mass-produced brews and you won't find any of those nasty chemicals or preservatives. We brew by hand using only four ingredients: water, malt, hops and yeast.

Can from Beers of Europe. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of caramel and light pine. Taste is sweet, caramel, almost honeyish. Too sweet for me.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Clear amber body with a thin beige head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of wood, caramel and black pepper. Flavour of blackcurrant, cranberry and peppery earth. Thin body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. It’s quite light for a Dunkel; it tastes like a blend between a Dunkel and a Pilsner.

330ml can from Beers of Europe: BB 5th Nov 2021. Poured into a large tulip stemmed glass at home on 17th Jan 2021. Clear golden body, white head, lager like in looks. Hoppy nose and initial taste, piney and fruity, some malty molasses creep into the aroma and flavours as the beer warms in the glass and it become a little sweeter in nature.

Can from Beers Of Europe. Appearance - bright golden amber. Thin white lacing. Nose - light caramel with an edge of pine. Taste - all toffee and caramel this time. Palate - close to medium bodied. A bit too sweet for middle and finish. Overall - IPA it is not, or certainly not my modern terms. It's a Bitter, and quite a sweet one at that.
