Cask at Pigs Ear, 2015. Bright gold pour. Aromas of pink grapefruit, lots of bitter citrus. Medicinal flavours of lemon and grapefruit. Quite a Veno’s cough mixture feel to it. Could certainly provide sound remedy for a cold.

Cask at Pig’s Ear 2015. It pours lightly hazy deep brown with tiny beige head. The nose is warming, woody, varnish, brown bread, umami, spice, earthy toast and mild fruity sweetness.... classic English Strong. The taste is bitter-sweet, oily, toffee, fruit cake, raisin, toasted brown sugars, burnt treacle and alcohol heat with a dry, warming finish. Medium+ body, soft carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Pretty decent stuff.

Gravity dispense at Pigs Ear ’15, 04/12/15. Clear golden blonde topped with moderate off white spotting. Nose is sweet malt, raspberry jam, perfume, orange creme, spice. Taste comprises tangerine, glazed cherries, rich fruit medley, peach melba, straw, trace of cherry blossom. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with light woody barrel notes. Interesting brew but not sure it’s one I’d be to desparate to revisit.
