Cloudy dark ruby, beige head with good lacing. The aroma is dark fruit - prunes and figs, dark caramel, fruit cake and hop spice. Simlar taste - rich fruity cakey dark malts and lots of spicy earthy hops. What fine malty fruity heartly brew that never seems even remotely sweet and sticky. So British, so nice.

A dark brown beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma has dried fruitness, wood, some liquorice and earthyness, also sweetness of toffee. Taste is complex as the aroma, dried fruitness, toffee, liquorice, notes of earthy herbs. Medium bodied. Complex, but balanced, unique. Good beer. Edit 27.4.2020. I have now tasted this beer a few times. Today, feeling very tasteful and powerful. Belgian-IS -hybrid.

06.07.2019, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head, deep dark amber color. Aroma is slightly sweet sour-ish mineraly, caramel malts, raisins, grass, minerals, nuts, alcohol, fruit stones, soil, hints of licorice. Taste is sweet sour-ish mineraly, sap, caramel malts, smoked weeds, fruit stones, raisins, bloodlike minerals, alcohol, bark, soil. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly harsh sour-ish mineraly mouthfeel. Fair enough, way too fresh I guess.

Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een troebel donkerbruin bier met een volle crèmekleurige schuimkraag. Het heeft een koffie achtige wat kruidige geur. De smaak is zoet, gebrande mout, koffie en caramel.
