(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 18.10.2020, at Maltainen Riekko, 20190411) The beer poured very dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and nearly white. Aroma had malts, caramel, grass and earth. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were toasted malts, caramel, earth, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A surprisingly pleasant malty brew with notable sweetness.

330ml bottle. Hazy, dark brown colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, minimally nutty, malty aroma, notes of toffee, hints of milk chocolate, fruity overtones with hints of raisin and other dried fruit, plum, fig, a touch of malt spiciness, umami, celery. Taste is sweet-ish malty and fruity, hints of toffee, milk chocolate and dried fruit, raisin, fig, plum, subtle malt spiciness; dry hoppy finish. Almost lively, fine carbonation, smooth palate. Very harmonious and well balanced, surprisingly forceful carbonation.

Hazy reddosh brown colour, large, dense beige-ish head; aroma of burnt plum jam, canned pear, figs and some biscuity, as well as roasted nutty notes; taste is basically the same with definite licorice-anise notes; not bad at all!

Many thanks to jjsint in Leicester for this beer gift. Stable beige head to a cloudy dark brown body. Spotty lacing. Dried fruity nose, hints of smoked malts. Well blended taste profile of raisin, toffee, and some kind of spices. Rounded malt-fruity, bittersweet finish. Fine bodied. Likable.
