Bottle from Bottleselect.com. Pours dark black with red glints and a transient fizzy dark tan head. Aroma is black/burnt cereal and chocolate. Med body, quickly thinning as carb leaves. Flavor has lots and lots of smooth coffee. A little chocolate in the background. No heat at all. Yummy.

Copper coloured body with a ridiculously large, eight centimetre tall soapy tan head - not very pleasant. Aroma of pale malt, light hops, earth, flowers and some yeast. Medium-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour with a bunch of floral and herbal notes and a lot of cardboardie malt with little else. Aftertaste shows some yeast and a biting floral note that shows decently. Overall, way too much carbonation in this one and the hop flavours were a bit overshadowed by the malt and there wasn’t enough complexity throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 13-July-2013 for US$2.00 sampled at home in Washington on 09-August-2013.

Bottle. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Cloudy yellow to pale orange color with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, some spiciness, some fruitiness, a note of smoke, faint lactic hints and hints of floral hops. Fruity flavor, wheaty, somewhat citric, a bit sweetish, a bit spicy, with a bit of smoked wood in the back and a pleasant hops bitterness in the finish. Medium-bodied, fluffy mouthfeel. Quite nice.

Drought. Hazy yellow with small creamy white head, doughy aroma, slightly bitter yeast taste. In fact the taste reminds me of dust or stale bread! Abrupt finish (thanks God!) This was one of the worst beers I had tasted. --- Beer merged from original tick of White Bite on 27 Jun 2013 at 09:56 - Score: Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 2 | Flavor - 1 | Texture - 2 | Overall - 3. Tap at Rattle. Pours cloudy orange with nose of rye and spice. Tastes of over the top rye, plenty of pepper, some basement, leaves, pine, light caramel, and hint of alcohol. pretty tasty and interesting brew especially for rye lovers

Bottle - thanks BrewtopiaofPJ. Pours pitch black with a small brown head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is very roasty, cigarettes, coffee grounds. Flavor is the same, lightly sweet, cocoa powder, medium bitter and a bitter finish. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Pretty decent.
