Gibbet Oak Farm, Appledore Road, Tenterden, TN30 7DH, England
Description
The Nightingale Cider Co started as a hobby with a friend, under the name Gibbet Oak Cider, selling to local events. 2013 was a big year, when we released our first bottled ciders. People loved them, and wanted more, so in 2015 Sam swapped his job in sound recording for muddy boots and overalls, and returned to the farm to re-join Tim, and concentrate on doing what he loved.

Original review text: On tap at the Fuggles Beer Cafe Tunbridge Wells. Clear pale yellow green colour. Central pillar of bubbles. Dry cider aroma. Decent sparkling dry apple cider with a little lading residual sweetness. Medium dry. Finish is initially sweet then dries out. Apple juice in out is light but decent with a slight sharp urgency underlying it. OK. Bit too sweet for my tooth. Very drinkable.

500ml bottle from pilango online. Pours clear pale yellow. Aroma is fairly light musty apple fruit. Taste is fairly dry and acidic, some white wine notes, gooseberry, a touch slick with sweet apple fruit, no discernible tannin. I sense this apple variety is better suited to blended cider.

Bag in a box at Red Lion Snargate Summer BF 2019. Clear pale gold colour no head. Good fruity apple juice with a little dry character some apple skin tannin. As I say some tannin attacks the gums and dries the tongue. Drinkable.
