Cask-conditioned at the Colston Yard, Bristol 15/05/2011. Pale amber with a decent white head. Big hoppy aroma of grapefruit, oranges and pine resin. Flavour was also dominated by citrus fruits and pine, with a touch of sweetish malt providing some balance, before a very bitter finish with accompanying pine. Excellent.

Cask at CPK. Pours a rich gold with a soft, white head. Sweaty malts on the nose, hints of ripe fruits, maybe caramel. Rich flavor, though not in all good ways. Good dose of bready malts, some boozy fruit, slight earthy bitterness. Full in body with fine carbonation. Medium warm finish, some woody malts, dry fruits, slight alcohol, subtle grass and earth. OK, but nothing special.

Cask, handpump at The Live & Let Live, Cambridge, 03.06.11 Pours mid amber with a white head leaving a light filminess across the top of the beer. Fruity and with a goodly dose of hops on the nose and soft pithy grapefruit and in the mouth with a juicy refreshing grapefruit bite. A great beer to try alongside the Oakham Scarlet Macaw and whilst I preferred the latter I think that this would be easier to drink a session of, very good beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9
