[Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence.] A bright amber pour with a loose white head; malty aroma with a touch of citrus; creamy body with a malty taste and a grassy bitterness; then a little spice in the finish. Rather good.

Cask @ Young Pretender, Congleton. Pours golden amber, pure white head. Moderately sweet malt nose. Taste is smooth, clean, balanced blonde ale territory. Bizarre that it's labelled a Session IPA.

Handpull cask at the Ale Wagon, Leicester. Dark gold with a ring of white head and lots of lacing. Hay, cereal and TCP on the aroma with some buttery bites. Bittersweet taste with husky malt, a little bit of astringency and citrus peel in the aftertaste. Drinkable but nothing special.

Cask at The Fountain, Bridgwater. Pours clear amber ruby with an off white head. Aroma: malts, caramel, hedgerow fruits. Taste: light to moderate sweet & light bitter, fruity, caramel. Dry finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. More akin to a red ale than a best bitter I thought

23/5/2019. Cask at The Dove Street Inn Spring Festival, Ipswich. Pours slightly hazy mid brown with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, hops, nut and dark fruit. Moderate sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, slight oily/sticky texture, quite flat carbonation. Moderate malty, toffee finish. Quite traditional. Decent taste but needed a bit of life.

3rd May 2019; hand-pulled half-pint at the 46th Telford Drinks Festival at The Crown Inn, Oakengates. Clean and clear golden pour, white head on top. Light citrus leanings in this easy drinking beer, lemon like esters and flavours but not too bitter or dry.
