Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 22/11/09. Copper coloured with a slight, yet frothy white head. Aroma of grapefruit, grass and pine with some sweet malts in attendance. Flavour started with some orangey sweetness, before more citrussy hops and a long, dry and pine resin filled finish. Excellent - a strong beer ABV wise that managed to balance this with the hop character and malts.

Draught@Pikkulintu
Dark hazy orange brown color, steady off-white head. Sticky, piney hoppy, yeasty aroma. Glueish hoppy, some pine flavors, sweetish notes. Quite sticky mouthfeel. Almost American, not very English IPA.

Draught@Pikkulintu
Dark brown color, small brown head. Aroma of coffee, licorice and cough syrup. Flavor has licorice, roasted malts and coffee. But easier to drink than it sounds. Liquerish palate. Dry, slight sweet touch of sweet licorice. Not much hops. Pleasant.

Cask. Thought it was listed as Moor’s Queen’s Revival, but ABV is right. Amber beer with an off-white head. Malt aroma. caramel malt and light citrus aroma. Medium body. Caramel, citrus, and light floral notes linger. Nice balance. Great body for the low ABV.

Cask. Straw colored beer with an off-white head. Hay and fruity hop aroma with light floral notes. Hay and fruity hop flavor. Medium body. ay, malt, light spice, and fruity hops linger. Very drinkable, but didn’t stand up to the Queen’s Revival I had side by side.

black, small brown head. roasted, caramelly, dark roasted aroma. no toffe. real nice, but subdued. flavor is ever so slightly fruity i think from bad handling of coffee or a weird use of flowery hops.

Bottle at Chriso pre-GBBF tasting 09. Summer grass saisony hop aroma. Served warm which was a shame, so a bit sweaty sox. I have a bottle in the fridge to re-rate. 3/6 Re-rate from the bottle in the fridge. It’s a decent summer spritzy golden ale. Not big and flashy, but there is enough hop on the end there. I can just imagine Justin’s smile as he sank a bottle of this on a hot day. He’d be pretty happy, and so would I.
