APPEARANCE: very dark amber color and clear. medium light brown head, creamy, with good retention. TASTE: medium-high roasted flavor (dark chocolate, roasty) that evolves into full-on roasted, almost burnt/charcoal. medium-high bitterness with a semi-dry to dry finish with burnt notes. MOUTHFEEL: medium body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a hoppy dark ale with a very pronounced roasted character and where the hop presence is starting to fade due to age.

TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium oranges, slight lemon, peppery phenolics. medium-low bitterness with a semi-dry finish with some malt in the aftertaste. MOUTHFEEL: medium carbonation, medium body. slight alcoholic warmth but very smooth. OVERALL: a nice Belgian Blonde Ale-type beer.
