From Beer Drop. No dating on the can.
It pours a slightly hazy pale gold with a good but fast shrinking head of foam.
The smell is very nice. Noble hops, some grass, toasted malt, clean smelling overall.
The taste is somewhat grassy, hints of pine, toasted malt, nicely balanced, imho.
The mouthfeel is good for the low abv.
Excellent taster, easy drinker. I recommend it.

16 oz. can. Pours black, with a small, brown head. The nose is dark cacao, cinnamon, butter toffee, burnt sugar, and pecans. Dry and roasty, with a hard, abrasive bitterness. Overly dry and aggressive, but a quality stout.

16 oz. can. Pours a clear, reddish, brown color, with a small, beige head. The nose is brown bread, rye, weak coffee, and walnut. Sweet and malty, with an acrid, roasty bitterness. Light body, with a grainy, syrupy palate. This is mellow and fair mild.

Taste at Trail's End. Pours a dark, clear, reddish, brown color, with a small, tan head. The nose is pumpernickel, light mocha, toasted pecans, orange pith, and hay. Dusty and malty, with a pleasing, mellow bitterness. Light to medium body, with a malty, lightly astringent palate. This is a well made and clean red ale.

Sample at GABF 10/05/2019, thanks to kathryneels for assistance with note-taking. Cloudy pale orange color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to a film. Short strings of lace. Fruit, yeast and malt aroma. Medium body with flavors of citrus, herbal yeast and malt. The finish is fruity yeast and malt. Decent overall.

19.2 ounce can into snifter, canned on 9/11/2019. Pour opaque dark brown/black color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky light khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, honey, molasses, graham cracker, toasted biscuit, roasted nuts, and dark/brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, prune, cherry, fig, date, smoke, leather, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity or dark/roast/bready malts, cocoa, honey, caramel, graham cracker, lactose, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, honey, molasses, graham cracker, toasted biscuit, roasted nuts, and dark/brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, prune, cherry, fig, date, smoke, leather, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Very mild herbal, grass, pepper, roasted bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, honey, molasses, graham cracker, toasted biscuit, roasted nuts, dark/brown bread/crust, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, leather, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, cocoa, honey, caramel, graham cracker, lactose, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; an no cloying/acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Very clean lagering, not overly fruity/yeasty. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/roast bitterness. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety/rich, and lightly slick/syrupy/sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Mild increasing warmth of 10%, with no booziness after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic flavored Baltic porter. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, cocoa, honey, caramel, graham cracker, lactose, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV, with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Awesomely soft/silky feel for the style. Perfectly balanced super rich malts and flavorings; with mild earthy hops and fruity yeast. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding spot on style example. Not overwhelming on any aspect.

19.2 oz. Aroma is gun metal, peanut butter, raspberry jelly with seeds, Pours dark dark brown (nearly black with a one finger beige head with decent retention. Taste is sweet, moderately tart, savory, with flavors of peanut butter and raspberry/grape jelly, bread, the whole bit. It really does taste like a boozy PB&J sandwich, but in a slightly weird way. Not sure what I think about it. Nice mouthfeel. Not bad, but not delicious or anything. An interesting brew, but I know I wouldn't want another one.

16 oz can from Tavour, 11/5/19. Boy they aren't kidding when they say purple drank on the bottom of the can (9/30/19 canning date). It looks just like purple drank pouring out of the can. In the glass it is more like a purple, with a beige head and some streaky lace. Weird start, and it just gets weirder from there. The aroma is dirty fruit and dirty fruit rind. Not all that pleasant. Blueberry in so much as it is reminiscent of the runoff water when you wash dirt off blueberries. Flavor is a little better. The dirt mixes with some hops, I get more of the blueberry as a fruit vs. the dirt. I don't know, maybe I'm just not a fan of the butterfly-pea tea's flavoring? This one just didn't do it for me. 5/4/6/2/11
