Black, though not opaque, pour. Short, tan head that deflates to dispersed, floating bubbles. The nose reveals hops, chocolate, coffee, roasted malts and band-aid. Bitter hops are dominant in the flavor, a flavor that also has notes of coffee and roasted malts. Medium to full body and clean mouthfeel. The bitterness sticks around a long time. Dry finish. I personally prefer more balance between sweet and bitter in an imperial stout.
