Cask at the New Leathern Bottle, Warfield, stated ABV 3.7%. A hazy pale amber pour with a ring of white head; lemony malt aroma; lemony malt taste with a sharp grapefruit bitterness, and a biscuity malt finish. Rather like a shandy made with a very malty bitter and Bitter Lemon instead of lemonade.

Cask at Tilly Shilling, Farnborough. Feint cherryade aroma. Though it was more red when presented to me but that may have been the dark bar! Gold with a ruby tint. Thin white head. Initial short-lived sweetness before a sour edged bitterness takes over. This gets more quinine as I drink. Light bodied. Slick, with a chalky residue. Soft carbonation. Very dry finish. This is OK at best. I guess they’ve tried to kriek up a gold. But for me it’s too bitter and too dry. The cherry Isn’t particularly noticeable.
