Tap at Prince of Wales, Farnborough. Touch of malt in a minimal aroma. Pitch brown, with a creamy beige head. Light bitter - chocolate malts and, not as bad as it sounds, something tinny. Light and softly carbonated body. Enjoyable.

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. Seems to have come out of retirement for 2016! An opaque mahogany pour with a blood red glint and a loose beige head; aroma of fruity boiled sweets; slightly at odds with a sweet lactic body; and a dry chocolate finish. A pleasant, but rather alien attempt at a porter.

Cask at The Prince of Wales, Farnborough. Feintly floral/citrus aroma. Bright gold, no head, flat. Appearance reminds me of cider - also got a bit of a cider impression from initial taster. Medium bitter, sour. Very light bodied and as flat as its appearance. Dry finish. Citrus, lemon grass. It’S refreshig enough but a bit boring. And to go with the theme again, it’s got an Apfelwein thing going on, must be the sourness.

Cask at the New Leathern Bottle, Warfield. A pale amber pour with a loose white head; malty aroma; soft malty body with a big bitter citrus taste; then a biscuity malt finish with lingering bitter grapefruit. An interesting, well-balanced combination of malts and hops.

Cask at Swan Inn, Farnborough. Looks like their Horsham Ale has been retired and is being used as a season instead, ie a couple of retired rugby themed bitters at 3.8% too. Sweet and fruity aroma. Medium amber. Flat. Short-lived head. Soft bodied. Medium bitter which turns sour in the long finish. Not bad. A session beer.

Cask at the Prince of Wales, Farnborough. 09/08/16. Citrus, vague aroma. Light amber. Flat. Very bright white head, which scores an extra point. Light bodied, extremely smooth. Bitter. Crisp. Grapefruit. More hoppy than I expected. Enjoyed it.
