COTSWOLD CRAFT BEER SINCE 1994
Using traditional methods our beers are brewed in small batches, and our Head Brewer Colin Williams oversees every aspect of the process. From the milling of the malt, the boiling of the hops, to the filling of the casks – everything is lovingly crafted to ensure that our beers reach you in perfect condition. Each beer recipe is known as the Grist. Colin and his team come up with the recipes, using over 20 years experience they work out the perfect blend of malts, hops and other ingredients. The night before a brew, the appropriate amount of malts are weighed out and loaded into the hopper of our vintage mill.

Handpull cask at the Ale Wagon, Leicester. Dark gold and clear with a quickly dissipating white head. Light aroma with some gooseberry, and orchard fruit alongside the malty cereal notes. Pleasant taste with a fruity bittersweet character leading to light astringency mid-sip and a short finish. A simple drop but a pretty good one.

Dark berries to the taste profile together with chocolate malts. Ends rather sweet with a touch of berries. Satisfying. (10.02.2019).

[Cask at the White Hart, Holyport.] A pale amber pour with a loose white head; citrusy aroma; crisp grapefruit taste with a sweet biscuity body; and a clean pithy citrus finish. A winner.

Handpull cask at the Ale Wagon, Leicester. With Rune and Finn. Purplish brown, translucent. Smells of blackberriea which is fitting! Sweet taste with the fruit notes overshadowing all other character. It's a bit artificial and extract-y but still quite palatable. Some light malt notes in the aftertaste. Really fond of this.
