Cask handpull, County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. I’ve had this several times and hadn’t realised that I hadn’t rated it. Shame that this isn’t a very good example of this beer. Copper colour, thin head. A malty bitter, but with an odd chemical flavour to it. First beer of the day out of the lines I think. Good hop finish though. Normally it is malty and full in mouth with good toffee and then a decent hop finish

Cask conditioned at Merton Summer Beer Festival September 2004. Nice light golden coloured beer, a bit thin and dry but really quite hoppy and very pleasant.

My brother lives in Greet near Winchcombe so this gets a regular pasting from me when I am down there. A very refreshing amber beer with a nice tangy fruity bite, a decent beer that finishes with a flourish of hops.

1. Sat 4th March 2006 Cask on Gravity dispense at the Royal Oak Beer Festival, Gretton, Glos. Straw coloured beer, giving off some floral notes, nice crisp and hoppy beer, served slightly too warm but otherwise absolutely fine nice lingering bitter hoppy clean finish. 2. Bottle picked up at farm shop near Evesham 03-06-06 Golden colour again some floral notes present crisp and hoppy but not quite up to the mark that the cask beer was

[Cask at GBBF 2005] An amber beer with a disappearing beige head. The aroma is sweet fruity and malty, combined with light notes of caramel. The flavor has strong notes of caramel, combined with light notes of hops, leading to a dry bitter end.

Cask at County Hotel JDW Ashford. Golden beer. Expecting it to fall into the blond citrus hoppy summer ale category, but this was maltier and probably more well rounded. Still a bit undistinguished

[Cask at Volunteers Arms, GBBF, 2004] A hazy amber beer with a disappering white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of hops and grass. And so is the flavor.
