Angry fist of Santa tasting at Chris_o’s. Deep brown/ruby, thin beige head. Choc on this is pretty good. Milk choc. NIce choc. Quite one dimensional, but a good one dimension.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 11/9/08. Deep gold in colour with no head. Aroma of caramel with a touch of red fruit. Easy drinking with sweet malts, some earthy hops and a short, bitter finish. Merely Ok.

Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Ruby/black, brief head. Evident chocolate sauce aroma. A brief cocoa sweetness that quickly turns to clean dryness. Light bodied with lots of chocolate. Lightly salty finish with medium bitterness. A bit thin, but with concentrated flavours.

Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Clear amber, frothy head. Soapy perfumy nose. Fairly sweet with well rounded mouthfeel. Lightly caramelly with notes of hay, sulphur and perfume. Medium bitterness. Pleasant and unassaulting, well drinkable.

Cask@GBBF2008. Golden colour, no head. Aroma is fruits, wood, caramel and some mild notes of dough. Flavour is quite much the same along with some grassyness and mild notes of roast. Strangest porter I have ever had.

Cask conditioned at the Nut Tree, Murcott, Oxon 10-08-08 Pours light amber with nice white head, nice fresh slight hoppy aroma (bit safe). Easy drinking sweet, slightly fruity and hoppy beer that was in good nick, enjoyable but not an exciter I’m afraid.

Clear golden with tiny white head. Sweet fruity aroma with mild caramel and citric hints. Sweet flavor with fruity and caramel notes. This is propably the lightest porter I have ever had.

Medium offwhite head does not last. Amber body. Harmonic roasty nutty malty aroma with notes of wood, perfume, caramel, and toffee. Surprisingly aromatic for such a light beer. Dry-sweet malty wooden tea taste with caramelly roasty notes. Dusty mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dry wooden malty slightly metallic aftertaste. Lovely session beer! Light, and close to watery, but still tasty. (0.5l bottle, Centra, Oslo.)

Bottle , Cardinal, Stavanger. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma is dry, coffee, cocoa, fruit. Flavour is dry, coffee, chocolate, roastiness, fruit, hop. Easy drinkable nice beer.
