COTSWOLD CRAFT BEER SINCE 1994
Using traditional methods our beers are brewed in small batches, and our Head Brewer Colin Williams oversees every aspect of the process. From the milling of the malt, the boiling of the hops, to the filling of the casks – everything is lovingly crafted to ensure that our beers reach you in perfect condition. Each beer recipe is known as the Grist. Colin and his team come up with the recipes, using over 20 years experience they work out the perfect blend of malts, hops and other ingredients. The night before a brew, the appropriate amount of malts are weighed out and loaded into the hopper of our vintage mill.

(Cask at Leskinen, Oulu) Poured golden and almost clear with medium sized, long lasting, dense and white head. Aroma was quite fruity and hoppy, too. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Tasted of hops, malts, grass, grain and bitterness. Quite bitter aftertaste.

Cask-conditioned at the Cross Hands, Winterbourne Down, S Gloucestershire 14/07/09. Something’s changed here as this pint was brown in colour with a decent, off-white head (although at the same ABV). Malty aroma flavour with some fruit, a hint of spiciness and slightly earthy, bitter finish. Good.
