Description
We started brewing in Burton-Upon-Trent in 1834. Then in 1898 we got itchy feet. So we moved down the road to the Albion brewery. We still like it so we’ve not moved again since.

We came to Burton for the water. Well, for the rocks the town was built on to be precise. The water trickles down through a thick layer of gypsum before we bring it back up again through our well. That’s what gives our beers the depth of flavour, character and crisp refreshing bitterness that you won’t find anywhere else in the world.

Bottle at home. Pours copper with a finger of-white head. I only took numerical notes while having this one.

Bottle shared at home, thanks to Tomi. Its aroma is almost non-existent, in taste some noble hoppy bitterness come through, surprisingly prominently. Light body, average carbo. Perfect companion for the Sunday BBQ.

Can from the lcbo. Run of the mill UK pale ale. Grassy hops, standard UK hop presence. Bready, biscuity, low bitterness, light nuttiness with some soft caramel. Easy drinking, good session ale.

A super session bitter. But very, very light on flavour. Touches of hops, hints of biscuity malts. Pretty basic, and super light.

Limited edition? Ive got bottle 325,670. What was this limited too? The northern hemisphere of earth? Typical golden pour, small with head. Aroma of bitter somewhat skunky/piney hops. Pale crystal malts, light breadiness, pretty boring really. Lightly boozy, medium bitter finish. Hmmmm, i was expecting more.
