Bought at Winooski on a trip to Vermont. Very fizzy, with alcohol and hops burying all other flavors. Not very impressed.

Enjoyed in Vermont. Pours a dark brown colour with a beige head and minimal lacing. Mild coffee notes with roasted malts. A little smokey hints. Not so much in the taste. Flavours of fruity and roasted malts. Decent porter lacking in the taste department, and just a little smokiness.

Keg at the Reservoir - Waterbury, VT. Pours mostly clear gold with a tight, creamy white head. Juicy citrus fruits on the nose, with light doughy pale bread and tangerine. Medium sweet flavor with further pale and lightly doughy bread, tangerine, faint meringue, grapefruit, lemon zest, crackers. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely balanced on the finish, though somewhat simple, with light pine needles, more tangerine, some pith, grapefruit, white bread. Not bad, but basic.

Keg at Prohibition Pig - VT. Pours clear, matte pink with a flimsy white cream head. Pleasant berry nose, some currants, dry pale bread. Light-medium sweet with nice lightly tangy, lightly ripe and juicy black currants, grapes, berries, some gummy candies, very mellow dry must funk. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nice semi-sweet, lightly jammy fruit and berry finish. Solid.

22oz bottle pours a murky, oily black with some bubbly, fluffy, slightly off white head. Nose is huge with roasted malt, crackers, some coffee grounds, lots of licorice, slightly industrial too. Flavor follows along, a fair amount of caramel, a fair amount of vanilla, but just tons of licorice, some molasses, some mild coffee. Sticky finish. Not sure the base beer is right and the barrel treatment wasn’t spot on either.

A golden IPA with a thin white head. In aroma, loads of citrusy hops, piney and pungent, herbaceous character, very nice. In mouth, a smooth fruity malt with citrusy hops, pink grapefruit pulp, classic smooth and balanced. On tap at Vermont Tap House.
