This one is for strong bitterness lovers. If you’re looking for complexity, it is not for you.....L’olfactif présente des conifères, des agrumes et des fruits tropicaux. Également du pin, du cèdre, de l’ananas et du pamplemousse. Un nez assez standard, qui ressort bien. Le visuel est doré / ambré, légèrement flou, avec une bonne mousse écumeuse, dense et au long maintient. De bonnes traces sont visibles sur le verre. L’attaque est tout en amertume. Des résineux piquants et amères. De bonnes notes de gomme de pin, d’épinette,; très tranchantes, avec un soupçon de gazon. Les fruits ne sont pas beaucoup présents cependant. En bouche, elle présente une bonne texture, mais elle manque un peu d’équilibre. Tout est dans les houblons. Pour les amateurs de grosse amertume. Friands de complexité, ce n’est pas pour vous.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very dark brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized foamy beige head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was bacon, malty, a touch roasty and a bit of smoke. The flavor was dryish and a bit malty with wood, smoke and a touch of bacon. Long smoky finish. Medium body. Ok.

Tap. Pours clear orange, large creamy off white head, long lasting and leaving great lacing behind. Aroma is the good kind of citra, dank and tropical, grapefruit and mango. Light on the butter notes i get sometimes. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, citra clean and simple, not harsh at all. Lightish body. Nice beer.

Bottle split at Bruce’s pad, thanks to the CDA finder general, 27/03/14. Hazed dark mahogany brown with a moderate light tan swirl atop the glass. Nose is punchy hops, dark berry fruit notes, bitter grapefruit, grassy, light spice. Taste comprises bitter hops, roasty bite, grapefruit, cooca powder. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough CDA.

Tasting at Bruce’s. Thanks to CDA sourcer extraodinairre - Leighton. Semi opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and crisp. Dry and light malts, touch of roast. Light airy malt cream. Mild tangy fruits and floral notes. Bitter pine and a trace of dark chocolate. Light dry finish. Not bad at all.

The appearance was a pitch black colored body that leaves a one finger mocha colored head that gently dies into the body. No carbonation is seen rising.
The smell had the spruce in front with a bit of sweet hops. There isn’t much pumpkin noted no matter how much I let it warm up.
The taste was basically the same.
On the palate, it sat about a medium with nothing harsh on the tongue, nice and smooth with a nice creaminess coming out the more I taste this one.
Overall, this is a nice double stout. Though no pumpkin noted anywhere in the beer, I’m not bothered by that and would still have this one again.

The appearance was a red/amber colored clear body with a two finger white foamy head that rapidly dissipates and leaves a tad of lacing in its wake.
The smell had a maple aroma up front but not overbearing just combined nicely with some light malt and wheat, slight apples very faint.
The taste was mainly sweet with the previously mentioned flavors, maple becomes predominant and lingers into aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, it sat about a medium, sessionable, adequate carbonation.
Overall, wow, what a nice brew, unsure if its truly an APA, but hey I’d have this one again.

The appearance was a clear yet light amber body with a half finger of white head that fades fairly quickly to a film, carbonation is seen rising, and what appears to be jasmine is floating around in the glass
The smell had jasmine, light herbal/tea-likeness, subdued caramel/malts.
The taste was sweet and bready through previously mentioned flavors.
On the palate, it sat about a light, but carbonation is initially felt but becomes better felt as the beer warms.
Overall, well, I think Rock Art did what they wanted to so I’ll commend them for that, and since jasmine is good for relaxation purposes, I’d say not bad in a beer maybe as a night cap even if its a low ABV.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. The taste is roasty, toasty, earth, treacle, pine,vanilla, coconut and marshmallow. The taste is oily, toast, roast, earth, charred wood, earth, vanilla, charred notes and toast with a dry finish. Medium body and body and fine carbonation. Fine.
