(Cask at Craft Beer Co Islington, London, 30 Nov 2014) Dark brown colour with brief, beige head. Malty, slightly smoky nose with dark rye bread, dark fruit and orange peel. Malty, slightly smoky taste with notes of dark bread, dried fruit, prunes, rye bread and a balanced roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty, with a balanced touch of smoke. Nice one.

Malty, roasted taste with loads of coffee, chocolate, dark bread and a generous coffee bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Loads of fresh coffee, possibly a bit one-dimensional, but for me this works fine. Nice one.

Keg at the bow bar. Pours hazy pale orange amber, nose is blueberry, pineapple , floral, yeasty, taste is fruity blueberry, toffee, very prickly carbonation.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Islington, London, 28 Nov 2014) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with orange, apricots and biscuity malt. Malty, fruity taste with notes of citrus, orange, apricots, biscuits and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. Light body, with a touch of sweetness. On the light side, but fresh and tasty, and highly drinkable. Nice one.

Keg at Evening Star, Brighton. It pours near black with a decent tan head. The nose is roasted malt, freshly ground coffee, chocolate, mocha and a touch of spice. The taste is bitter-sweet, earthy roast, dark fruits, coffee, milk chocolate, toasty brown sugar, touch of tangy malts and some liquorice with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Smooth and well rounded. Nice stuff.

Keg @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Golden-blonde with a head. Has a good nose with plenty of spice evident, so was quite surprised to find it had a very moderate neutral flavour with not a lot going on in the taste department.
