Description
Beavertown was founded in 2011 by Logan Plant, the son of Robert Plant, singer with Led Zeppelin. At first established as a brewpub in De Beauvoir Town, East London as part art of the Duke's Brew and Que experience. Expanding means moving! In 2012 to Hackney Wick and in 2014 to Tottenham Hale.

In June 2018, it was announced that Heineken would be buying a minority stake, so that Beavertown could spend £40 million on a new brewery and visitor site. The new brewery was launched in 2020, with a capacity of 500,000 hectolitres, a ten-fold increase in their previous capacity.

As of 7 September 2022 Heineken has taken complete control of Beavertown and now has 100 per cent ownership. Founder Logan Plant will stay on as an adviser.

Draught @ Fox and Hounds Sønderborg on Øllets Dag 2022. Pours hazy straw with airy white head. Clear aroma of fruit and hops, with touches of yeast. Bitter flavour of hops and citrus, with touches of yeast and malty hints. Bitter and estery aftertaste. Reasonable, although the taste is not quite as strong as the ABV might suggest.

Keg draught at the Loaded Dog Leicester. Mid-gold and hazy with an off-white head. Not a lot of aroma but what there is gives gorgeous melon and mango. Sweet, gentle taste with a fruity creaminess and just a hint of bitter for the finish. Smooth but thin body with the tang of carbonation. A great introduction to craft beer but those of us who are already familiar may feel slightly aggrieved.

Can from Sainsbury's Supermarket, Salford. Hazy and slightly danker looking golden brew with a decent looking frothy head. Citrus brew, full-bodied but perhaps not quite feeling its strength, nor is its citrus particularly strong, but it does produce some activity in the palate. Its tropical fruitiness is pleasant.

0,33 boks fra lokalsjappe, hos Izzy: klar gylden med fint skum som varer helt ned. Karameller, citrus, granskudd og andre lekre innslag. Kveldens siste, selv om den var farlig lettdrikkelig.

440ml can from Tesco. Dreaded putting this in the basket. Hazed golden orange pour, white head. Below average haze, mild ripened orangey exotic sweetness coming through, but seems a little tame.
