Our small team was enhanced in 2016 when we were joined by the founders of Loch Ness Brewery, Stephen Crossland and George Wotherspoon. This has brought us a new range of skills and experiences allowing us to develop our products further for the UK and Overseas markets with a focus on delivering consistently high beer quality as we continue to innovate and create new beers.

Bottle: Deep chestnut-amber coloured, no head to speak of; mild to moderate sweetish-bitter nose of toasted/roasted malt and dried fruits, well hidden traces of coffee still detectable; hardly moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, quite light bodied - but soft at least; slightly lingering roasty and coffeeish finish. Well drinkable, but nothing special...

Mildly sweet and roasty bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Third of a cask pint at the Scottish Real Ale Festival in Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange on 7th July 2017. Dark amber with a ruby hue, the head a lightly tanned affair. Malty molasses rule the nose and taste, caramel and toffeee being the flavours and aromas. Add some red berry notes and you get a very pleasant semi-sweet beer indeed.

330ml bottle (as Deeside APA). 14th July 2017, fourth beer in a tasting session with myself. BBE Aug 2018, poured into a Westmalle trappist chalice. Clear amber body, collar and wisp on top. Got a bit of a cold, so the aroma is lost on me: dank, piny hops may have got through the nose to my sences, citrusy too? Taste is hop forward and semi-bitter, light malty flavours come late as does a mild orange trace or two. OK, I liked it.

Prototype can from the brewer. Hazy amber/brown body with a thin beige head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of burnt sugar, treacle and toffee. Flavour of caramel and stewed tea. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Really good - sweet and flavoursome. I’d like to try this on cask.
