Bottle at home in London - picked up at Kris Wines. Pours crystal clear yellow-gold, effervescent, with a frothy, pure white head. Lots of biscuity pale malts in the nose, with hints of hay, cereal and lemon rind. Light sweet flavor with more prominent biscuits, hints of sourdough bread, grassy bitterness, more rindy citrus. Light bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced on the finish, with more crisp biscuits, dried cereal, pale grains, grass, rind. A very good all around lager.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at Kris Wines. Pours mostly clear orange-gold with a thick, frothy white head. The aroma really bursts out of this one, with loads of dank hops, ripe orange, tangerine, mango, papaya, cat pee, melon, undertones of pale bread. Medium sweet flavour with obscenely vibrant, juicy hop character, lots more citrus fruits, tangerine, mango, sturdy pale bread, melon, low bitterness, hints of pine. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous on the finish, warming, with continuing fresh, robust hop character, more tropical fruits, more citrus. Outrageously drinkable. While the beer is 8%, it goes down incredibly easily; only in the aftertaste do you start to feel some of the strength, as the alcohol warms you up. The hop expression here is mesmerising. This is a world-class IPA. Simply stunning.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at Kris Wines. Pours clear, light brown with a frothy off-white head. Pleasant toasted biscuit aroma, with hints of caramel, orange, brown bread. Medium sweet flavor with more biscuits, simple bread, faint cocoa, moderate juicy citrus hops, orange, light tangerine. Light bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced in the finish, with further toasty biscuits, citrus hops, very faint licorice, some toasted pine, mild grass, earth, touches of rindy orange, more tangerine, dry caramel. Really well balanced overall, nice depth of character (especially considering the relatively low ABV). I could bury a few pints of this sauce. Very nice.

(Draught at Bottle Shop Druid St, Bermondsey, London 28 Nov 2015) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of citrus, apricots and orange peel. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, grapefruit, lemon peel, grainy malt, hints of yeast and a dry finish with a balanced citric bitterness. Medium body, mainly dry. Tasty and well made, with a generous hop character and spicy hints of yeast. Nice one.

Last tick of last night. I was destroyed by then but enjoyed it immensely.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the Bottle Shop, Druid Street. Pours deep brown, mostly clear, with a creamy beige head. The nose gives off some well roasted malts, burnt grains, earth. Light sweet flavor with hard, ashy roast, baking cocoa, scorched earth, touches of espresso. Medium bodied with massaging carbonation. Bitter finish, lots more hard-edged roasted malts, bitter ash, bittersweet baking cocoa. mild alcohol warmth. A pretty solid, workingman’s porter.

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 24.01.16. Clear pale golden. White head and lacing. Refreshing aroma of fresh citrus. Similar taste, with grapefruit bitterness lingering on in aftertaste. Some fresh pine at the very end. Excellent drinkability. Dry mouthfeel.

Denne forsvant alt for fort over drøvelen...
