Can. Dark brown with an inch of pale beige head that lasts well. Sticky, oozy smokey caramel and bread aroma. So it tastes - heavy smoke, singed toffee, hints of ham, some spices and bitterness - just enough to finish things. Rich with an off dry finish. Good.

From a 355ml can on 18/4/2023. Pours a ultra clear light golden with a medium head that disappears quickly. The nose is fruity and spicy, with almost a bit of witbier about it with hints of banana ajnd coriander. Tastes fruity with a good dash of Belgian yeast, some banana again, finishing with a light spiced bitterness. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Pleasant enough if a little subdued given the 7.5. Love the can art.

Can from the brewery. Clear gold with a good inch of white head. Surprisingly subtle, floaty aroma with floral and spicy notes, vine leaves, crusty bread. There is some hint of alcohol. Only medium bodied. Not very sweet with bread and some singed caramel. Pops with peppery and floral hops. Brief bitter finish leaves some spices to linger. I thought this highly unlikely to work but it's great.

16/10/2022. Bottle from Dan Murphy’s. Pours clear deep copper chestnut brown with a small bubbly/frothy beige head. Aroma of toffee, dried fruits, bread, nut, plum, sourdough, light woody spicy notes. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness with a slightly sour edge. Moderate body, a bit watery, prickly carbonation. Aroma is nice but not especially keen.
