Can. A slightly deeper cloudy gold than a normal wit, with a fluffy white head. Spicy aroma with a funky wheaty twang, mellow oranges. The wit notes get a little lost in the taste with a fruity and spicy bitter wallop that doesn't leave a lot of room for anything else. Tasty but (unusually for Red Hill) lacks nuance.

Tap at the brewery. Poured a hazy golden straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light fake sugar, light citrus hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a light, crisp, fresh, light citrus, light dry hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average to soft carbonation. A little light all round but quite drinkable.

Tap at the brewery. Poured a murky medium brown colour with a lasting frothy off white head. The aroma is grainy malt, nutty, earthy, light red berry fruits. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter, with a smooth, gritty, fruity, warm, dry woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Smooth, rich and nicely balanced. A good example of the style.

The flavour is moderate bitter, with a malty, light citrus, dank, green hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

The flavour is light bitter with a light, watery, yeasty, light floral, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.

Can, 11C. Almost black with a cm of light tan head that lasts OK. 3+ Aroma of plummy, smoky and peppery chiles with some chocolate brioche struggling a little behind. Not much more than medium bodied, silky, low carbonation. A sip briefly reveals the cinnamon as well as a drier but more chocolatey stout than their normal IS. There's a breadth to the chiles with a top note that almost pokes out too much to a rumbly plummy one that mellows things out. I'm probably imagining that their (?) Willemette makes it seem a bit more beer-like at the end. Certainly quite bitter. A bit more assertive than I expected but their usual cohesion over power approach still applies.

From a 330ml bottle on 29/1/2019. Pours a clear light golden with a small head. Has a light sweet, fruity nose. Taste wise, it begins will some bready malt and a decent whack of tropical fruit sweetness, followed by a modest, slightly dry bitterness. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Drinks lighter than 6.5%. An inoffensive and pleasant enough quaffer.

Bottle. Pale gold with a 3/2" white head that never quite disappears. Aroma of pineapple, mandarin, tropical bubblegum, white bread. Very light bodied, fizzy. Tropical fruit punch-like hops with little behind it - again, almost RTD-like. Dry, slightly bitter and slightly astringent. Not sure this is my sort of thing, but it's fine and pretty much to my understanding of the sub-style. Not that I would have guessed Red Hill would make one.

Bottle. Not quite clear gold with a coat of white head. Aroma is floral with grapefruit, light bread, pine. A fair bit of body. Carbonation is a little on the low side for this sort of thing. Not very sweet with firm bread and some orange and mango as well as the hops from the aroma. A little earthy note I didn't love. Original review text: Bottle (Ritchies Balnarring). Deep gold with a white head that fades a bit but laces well. Aroma is very unRed Hill: Grapefruit, weedy herbs (ie some sort of Cacade), some under-ripe mango, honeyed bread. A fair bit of body for 5.5%. Moderate carbonation. Not all that sweet but there are layers of pale and then slightly toasty malt with citrus and herbs at first seasoning the flavours, then sharpening as fairly strong bitterness takes over. Fresh.
