Description
Raphaël Mettler and his team have been brewing beer with a passion since 2003, and their enthusiasm is eminently contagious: the Trois Dames beers from Ste-Croix challenge the taste buds and flatter the eye, and that is exactly what makes them original. We believe in making a top-notch product, the reason why we carefully select fresh ingredients.

Bottle @ Eldorado, Zurich. Dark brown body with a creamy beige head. Aroma has dark roasted malt and lots of roasted coffee. Flavor is smooth dark roasted malt with strong, but balanced roasted coffee. Balanced bitterness and really not so much more, but a damn fine and well made coffee stout. Body is also balanced but feels almost thin without being watery or anything in that direction. Nice one.

Bottle @ Andorra Bar, Zurich. Slightly unclear golden body with a lacing white head. Aroma has some malt, fruit like citric and grapefruit and hint of oranges. Flavor is medium sweet pale malt, fruity like aroma and average bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Well made, pretty standard classic IPA.

Bottle at bar hop 2. From the bottle i got and previous ratings, im going to assume this batch of this beer is infected or something. The other two versions of this beer via crooked stave and jester king are getting rave ratings. Murky brown pour, with a tiny, cask looking beige head, not a good start. Aroma is funky, with big vinegar notes with some metal, and wet, soggy cardboard. There is some fruit in there but its incredibly musty. The body is ok, but thr carb is basically flat. The finish is super sour, actually like vinegar with a very off putting super earthy, almost dirt like finish. What the hell happened to this beer?

Bottiglia.

Bottle from a trade with CH-303, thanks! Aroma is resinous hops, thick bready malt, caramel, pine resin, rye bread, overripe fruits, apricot marmalade, and a little alcohol. Flavour is below medium sweet with a bitter finish. Body is above medium. Quite malty with thick grain, caramel and resinous hops. A bit sticky sweet and bitter. Pretty enjoyable.

From tap at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam. Aroma is fruity with tart apples, malt, yeast, citrus, and funky notes. Flavour is puckering sour and tart with an acidic touch and a dry finish. Body is medium. Funky and sour, just the way I like my Saison. Excellent.

That is a deceptive beer. It's sweet and tasty and good but if you aren't careful you'll get smacked with jalapeños. Cannot wait for Arizona
