375 ml. bottle. A nice Bret type aroma combined with honey. A sour whiff. The color is a light orange gold with a white head that ringed. A bit thin bodied. The carbonation is very mild. The flavor is primarily lactic sour. There are varying fruit notes, to accompany the earthy, Bretty, funkiness. Could be old mushrooms or sweat sox. Very interesting. Not an everyday drink, I think. Refreshing in an unusual way.

&50ml bottle, says 2004 Vintage on the cork!Nose is funky with tartness and light apricots; lightly hazed and apricot colored with a small white head; flavor is sour, but not like a guezue, complemented by a very light taste of the apricots. Wish you could taste a little more apricots though!

Bottled 2007, thnx to thewolf. Cloudy reddish pink color, short lasting red head. Aroma is very fruity, some horseblanket, tart. Fruity, tart taste, sticky sweet as well. Nicely balanced sourness, glad I had the 2007 version I guess. Thick body, almost creamy. Very nicely balanced between fruity and tart. Great stuff.

(75 cl bottle purchased at Swedish Systembolaget) Bottled in 2006. Pours a shady pale golden with a small white head. Acidic, sour and a bit fruity scent. Sour lemon and lime taste, lemon finish. Mouthfeel is smooth yet like biting a not so sour lemon. Pretty much no bitterness.

Rerate, 750 ml corked and capped green bottle, as Cantillon Cuvée Saint-Gilloise. Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5%. Dry hopped with Hallertauer (which Hallertauer?) hops. Hazy golden to deep golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of farmhouse / brettanomyces, pediococcus and lemons. Lemony and tart / astingent flavour, quite dry, hints of oak. Fairly distinct herbal hops in the finish. Original rating: Bottle, as Cantillon Cuvée des Champions, at RBESG 2007 in Glasgow, Grand Tasting. Cloudy golden colour. Very nice lemony aroma, hints of oak and barnyard. Lemony and fairly dry flavour, refreshing and nice.
