Bouteille 341ml. De couleur dorée jaune et transparente. Nez de maïs sucré, de légumes bouillis, léger de grains de malt pâle avec des notes herbeuses et de faibles traces chimiques. Mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture aqueuse. Goût de grains de malt pâle accompagné d’un léger goût sucré de légumes bouillis lors de l’entrée en bouche suivi d’un goût de maïs sucré accompagné d’un léger goût herbeux (gazon mouillé) puis en finale l’on retrouve de faibles notes amères de houblon herbeux (foin) sec ainsi qu’un moyen goût chimique et métallique (traces d’alcool perceptibles). Post-goût court-moyen et légèrement sec, légèrement chimique et métallique avec des petites notes de houblon herbeux.

Très mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et moyennement croustillante ainsi qu’une texture aqueuse et aux faibles notes huileuses. Léger goût de grains de malt pâle avec de faibles traces de légumes bouillis lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût légèrement sucré de maïs et rejoint rapidement par un léger goût herbeux (gazon mouillé) et une finale aux très faibles notes de houblon herbeux. Post-goût très court, aux petites notes herbeuses.

This one poured a crystal clear yellow with a non existant head. To the nose it smelt like corn and mud. First taste was watery and slightly wine flavoured leaving that old boring corn behind. Typical Labbatt product. Garbage.

Small white head shrinks quickly. Yellow body with carbonation. Clean apple, grain, and straw aroma with hoppy notes. Thin watery papery grain taste with chalky, sharpish aftertaste. Yucky papery corn taste lingers. Flawed and boring. (0.341l bottle at Kyoto restaurant in Montreal.)

Bottle: Poured a golden yellow color beer with a small foamy head with minimal retention. Aroma of adjunct is quite evident and gross. Taste is also dominated by adjunct with a very gross sweet aspect which I really didn’t enjoy. This one is really worst then the rousse.

Bottle: Poured a light brown color beer with a small bubbly head with minimal retention. Aroma of unrefined grain with some light adjunct base sweetness. Light body with low carbonation. This is pretty bad overall thought not as much as I expected. I guess it tread in the same water then Rickards does.

Mince-moyenne en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture légèrement huileuse et aux notes aqueuses. Goût de grains de malt pâle avec de très faibles notes végétales (légumes bouillis) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût léger herbeux (gazon mouillé) accompagné d’un léger goût de céréales et des notes de maïs sucré puis en finale l’on retrouve un léger goût amer aux notes asséchantes de houblon floral et herbeux (foin). Post-goût court-moyen et aux notes sèches, légèrement amer de houblon herbeux et floral.

12 oz. bottle. Very light aromas of malt and grassy hop. Indifferent gold color with a stable white head that left lace bits. Thin to medium bodied. Light to moderate carbonation. Starts with fruit and malt, but not a lot of either. It could be light and crisp and delicate, but it almost completely lacks bitter. Better than Bud? I’d have to try another Bud to find out. Next incarnation; one was enough for this one.

Bottle; New Brunswick, CA; Could be Labatt, could be Moosehead. Roasted malt aroma. Nearly opaque black color with ruby tints at the edges. Frothy tan head that laces. Medium bodied; lots of carbonation. Starts a bit sour, with roasted malt. The finish is dry, light touch of coffee, and mostly the remnants of the roasted malt. The sour got lost along the way. Doesn’t have the burnt toast I seem to remember from years ago. Ok, but many American stouts are as good or better. Guess I’ll have to get my hands on one from Dublin. Imported Guinness from Canada almost seems misleading.

Canette 355ml. Nez de grains de malt pâle aux faibles notes végétales sûres, légèrement métallique avec des notes de maïs sucré et des traces herbeuses. De couleur jaune pâle et transparente. Très mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen-fort et croustillant ainsi qu’une texture aqueuse. Très léger goût de grains de malt pâle avec des traces végétales (légumes bouillis) lors de l’entrée en bouche suivi d’un léger goût sucré de maïs ainsi que des notes herbeuses en toute fin de gorgée accompagné de notes métalliques. Post-goût presque inexsistant, aux faibles notes métalliques.
