Description
We find that the best moments in life — the most memorable — are when we spend time in the company of those who are most important to us. Our beer and spirits are made for these moments.

It all started for us in 1997 when Brett VanderKamp believed that his hometown and the brewing industry were due for a shakeup. And so, New Holland Brewing Company was born in Holland, Michigan near the shores of Lake Michigan.

Today, New Holland is recognized as one of the leading innovators in the revolution of craft brewing and distilling. With nearly 500 team members, New Holland’s craft beer and spirits are sold across the country, and around the globe. Our retail presence continues to grow with two full-service restaurants, a spirits tasting room, two brick-and-mortar stores and an online store.

We look forward to finding moments to connect and enhancing the lives of people around the world.

Thanks to Ohiodad for this one. Dark amber in color, Blue Goat throws up an average-sized light brown head that falls quickly. Decent beer, but overall it lacks the big malty aroma and flavor that bocks (and especially Doppelbocks) need to have in my book.

Brown 12 oz bottle for $1.50 at Vintage Estates in Boardman, thanks Nuts. When you pour it, it has a really dark opaque color that hides all those swirling sediments that have been resting on the bottom of the bottle. Bready uncooked yeasty dough smell, pretty good aroma. Bitter dark tasting alky laced with bitter very dark chocolate and or black coffee. Also includes some burned wood that has been extinguished with water. Good welcomed carbonation. Not bad and a good representative for a dark brew. Overall pretty coarse and oppresive for a sweet stout. Probably should be in the stout or imp stout category. Nothing like Mackeson, Sammy Smith or Schell Snowstorm, they are all much better than this.

Bottle. It’s the first muggy hot day of the year, so a kolsch sounds like a good thing. Aromas are slighty floral with a bread presence that support it all. A little bit of yeast is preasant, too. Refreshing taste with a touch of a doughy sweetness to it. Maybe I’m just happy it summer, but I really liked this one.

I didn’t care for this. The aroma has dry hops and alcohol. Amber in color. A little carbonation, and an herbal, bitter flavor. No interesting citrus or flowers, just dry and alcoholic.

12 oz bottle from the Vintage Estates, thanks Nuts. Pour is beautiful swirling hypnotizing wheaty brew, especially if you roll the bottle properly to get the gunk off the bottom. Still there is lots of sludge on the bottom of the bottle. Interesting off orange color towards beige. Darker and more orange yellow than most wits. Cleanish aroma. Not a whole lotta spice smells present. Taste is a bit on the strong side for a wit. You can tell there is some alky in this brew. Not much, if any, bitter lingering tho. The low medium alky fades immediately with each sip. Good medium carbonation that is welcomed to ward off that bitter impact present with each gulp. A little too alky flavor to be a session wheat. Cannot taste much orange in there. That bitterness hangs like a pale ale hop but bites like a malt. Like zebracakes said, there is a strange chemy bite to this, almost industrial. Finish is bitter on the sides of your tongue, that sticks, but there is no back of the throat medicinal qualities. OK overall but does not measure up to East End wit or Hoegaarden. Probably tastes more like an american wheat.

Pours gold with a nice pillowy tan head. The aroma is a nice dose of floral hops with a hint of pine hops hiding in the back. The first sip comes off as a yummy IPA. Upon more sips the flavor profile becomes more apparent with floral hops that seem to be on the wet side. Running through the flavor fields of hops is a stream of crystal type malts trickling through.

Yet another awesome bomber brought by the Kevster, Thanks again.

It has a dark brown pour and little in the way of a head. The aroma is sweet with caramelized malts, pine hop sweetness, lactose, caramel candy and alcohol. For the taste a bit of alcohol hits first then sweet malts, caramelized malts, sizable pine hop bitterness, roasted malts and hints of lactose all round out the flavor. The finish has a growing alcohol sense but not in a hot way at all. Along with that I get roasted maltiness and hints of dark fruitiness well into the finish.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Dark roast red, brief head. Roasty grassy nose. Sweet with medium body andclean, rounded mouthfeel. Light papery malt together with vague notes of chocolate make up the fairly simplistic flavour. Drier finish with low bitterness. Simple and rather lifeless.

Not bad at all. Light red color and minimal carbonation. Simple malt aroma with just a touch of apple, but it doesn’t smell bad. Flavor is simple dry malt. I would actually describe this as an Irish ale, some dough/biscuit flavor. A simple session beer. Not offensive, but it does nothing to set itself apart.

Hey, this is not a black beer! Of course not, its a trippel. On tap at the Vintage Estage in Boardman. Barely any aroma. Light cloudy yellow with some bubbles in there. I’m told this ssample may be stronger since it is from the bottom of the barrel. Creamy looking head with a few bubbles. Alky is pretty well hidden but not as well hidden as chimay white. This brew goes down smooth on the taste buds. Very nice initial flavor that is easy to take. Enjoyable and well behaved. I am surprised how well this goes down without heat from the alky content. Finish is enjoyable and not offensive. There is a sligh medium low bitterness that fades quickly. Enjoyable and well behaved for a tripel. Much better than those otherwise coarse alky flavored tripels that lack manners.
