(On tap @ Grande Ourse, Kamouraska, QC, May 22/23) Pours nearly clear bright pale gold with a decent white cap that fades slowly leaving some lace. Notes of an interesting suite of boreal plants - conifer tip aromatics, labrador tea, some dune pepper, something floral and a touch perfumed, built on top of a base of crackery cereals, dry and crisp with a little acidity, lime with a bit of fragrent peel, soft yeat character (phenolic, no esters really), finish is bone dry and a bit mineral with soft conifer resins, peppercorns, softly bitter and herbal. Light body, lively carbonation, very refreshing but still with some complexity. I can see how this would be plain to some but it's very nicely executed (and not bad with a burger either!)

Bottle: Poured a golden color lager with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of cereal notes with some light herbal notes. Taste is a mix of cereal notes with some herbal hops and a semi-dry finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Enjoyable lager with good drinkability.

Not your typical pale ale as the grains shine a lot more than the hops but I like it.

6000th unique check-in! Body is light as promised and raspberries are subdued but present. Given that recently my tastes are turning away from anything too sour, this hits the spot without being overbearing, pintable.

A lightly hazed blonde ipa with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light Brett, light lactic notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice mix of resinous hops, light pine needles, light brett, OK. On tap at Poincaré.
