Bottle: Poured a hazy bright yellow color lager with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of clean cereal notes with some dry hoppy notes. Taste is also a good mix of clean cereal notes with light residual sugar notes offset by floral dry leafy hops notes. Body is full with good carbonation and no significant alcohol notes. Really well made imperial lager with a nice flavor profile.

Bottle @ Patricks. Another interesting and well brewed beer from this Canadien brewery. Unclear golden under a medium sized off-white head. Aroma has malt, peat, smoked ham and some generic fruit. Taste is as expected from aroma, sweet malt, nice peat, smoke, ham etc. A nice well made, balanced Rauchbier.

Bottle @ Patricks. Unclear golden body under a medium sized white head. Aroma has malt, pear, grapes and hint of funk. The taste is medium sweet malt, fruity, pear, grapes, some grass, hint of acidity and a funky touch. Alcohol is well hidden. Balanced body with nice aftertaste. It was actually a miss order as I was a bit sceptic to pear flavor in a barley wine. Can’t say this reminds me of a barley wine at all, sure a big surprise and difficult to put this in any particular style – think of a Belgium strong ale, pale but not as sweet as a triple, then a subtle fruitiness with just a faint hint of funk. Smooth, nice and unusual.
