22oz bomber graciously gifted by JoeMcPhee. thanks a lot Joe. Poured into a small tulip glass with barely any head that lead to barely any lacing, just a small thin crescent off-white lacing. Pitch black beer. Aroma is a full rich coffee with hints of chocolate. From what I consider a London Porter (with Fullers as the standard) this does a nice job of recreating the aroma. A good roast coffee aroma. Taste is not as rich as the aroma. Watered down coffee with sweet cola flavors. Slight coffee bitterness flavors in the aftertaste. Low bitterness, very drinkable medium-light body.

This Porter poured a really dark reddish / orange with a nice tan head. SCents of molassass and cocoa with a little spice and ripe fruit. First sip was a little watery but still very good. Roasted malts were strong with a little chocolate flavour and hopps thrown in. Finish was roasty with lingering cocoa.

Coppery body, thin off-white head. Cerealy, toasty aroma with a touch of chocolate. Pleasant, sweet, bready body with earthy, grassy hops, toast, brown sugar, and chocolate. More complex than most ESBs. This beer reminds me of honey smacks. Complex, medium-bodied, and very good. Thanks blankboy!

Bright golden-bronze colour. Light and clean with a good dose of English hops in the nose. Woody, leafy hop character with light baguette notes and background fruitiness (kiwi, pear). Not really a classic IPA but it is a pretty good beer.

Pale beige colour with light haze. Spicy aroma - clove and cinnamon - with anglohops and background maltiness. Bit of nutmeg late. Fairly clean and balanced but not especially compelling.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color porter with a medium dark brown bubbly head with average retention. Aroma of roasted malt with a hint of chocolate and coffee. The roasted malt with a subtle undertone of chocolate and coffee also dominates taste. Body is medium full and carbonation is low. Very good example of the style.

Bottle: Poured a clear copper color beer with a medium bubbly white head with average retention. Aroma of sweet and fruity malt. Taste is enjoyable without being overly complex with a nice mix of fruity/floral malt and medium hops distinguishable at the end. Lack a bit of character but enjoyable nonetheless.
