Description
Yvan DE BAETS and Bernard LEBOUCQ meet each other in 2002, during the second edition of the Zinnekparade. Bernard had created the now famous ZINNEBIR for this unique Brussels event. However, it took another five years for BRASSERIE DE LA SENNE to settle effectively in the capital. In the meantime, the brewing activities were continued at friendly breweries. This bohemian existence came to an end on December 22, 2010, the date of the very first 100% Brussels brew!

Draft pour at Zwanze Day 2026, at The Sovereign in Washington DC. Poured a clear yellow color with a medium sized fizzy white head. Plenty of light floral notes, lemon zest, citrus, with some grapefruit. Flavor was very light, very delicate. Smooth, tasty herbal notes. Quite a tasty beer. Really, really nice.

Bottle from Raynville Superstore. It pours hazy deep red - brown with a thick, fluffy off-white head. The aroma is rich, juicy and tangy, loads of red fruits and berries, crunchy cherry, raspberry, blackberry, musty, funky, vinous, red wine soaked oak, jam roly poly and muted vanilla. The taste is smooth upfront, juicy, tangy, puckering, sour crunchy ripe cherry, raspberry, bramble, very jammy, touch of sherbet, sour candy, vinous, splash of red wine vinegar, musty barnyard, some funk, damp oak and light tannin with a drying woody finale. Medium body and well judged carbonation. Exquisite balance. Rounded and quaffable. Very well done.

Bottle at home. Hazy briwn with very big thick beige head. Light spoces, alcohol, dry olums, berrie skins, coffee, bitter cocoa. Under medium sweet and bitter, light sour. Medium bodied, bit dry finish. Quite interesting but not really my thing.

Bottle. Amber with a dense inch of near white head. 8+ Aroma of stone fruit, bracken, spices, some cheese and boot polish. Funky getting towards medicinal with old peaches and oranges, ointment, dough. Bitterness tinged with bracken, leather and hard spices at the end. Plenty of Brett. Good.

33 cl. bottle @ Kafé België, Utrecht.
Hazy milky yellow with a white head. Nice Brett aroma with some citrus and a wheat (spelt) note. Sweet taste with a bone dry funky finish. 4 year old bottle so the Brett was really present. Nice one.
