Draught at the Ichinoseki Beer Fest 2017. Hazy gold with a medium, fine head. Some smoke in the nose, banana, clove, bit of band aid. Sweet and phenolic, light to medium smoke, peaty band aid, lemon, banana. Decent, but would like more German style smoke and less peatiness.

Draught at the Ichinoseki Beer Fest 2017. Made with champagne yeast. Pale golden color, bubbly. Spicy yeast nose, crackers, lemon. Dry, saison-like, crisp. Crackery malt. Finish is a bit weird, but decent.

frothy white head. Lots of cereal notes with some peaches and cream in the nose. A bit strange, but ok. Very crisp and clean mouth feel with modest aggressive hops. Medium body. The hops are much more grassy in the mouth compared to the nose. Super quaffable. Very good German Pils. I took a chance on this beer as my first celebration beer after my baby daughter was born and it worked out very well.

Tap at Keyaki Spring 2017. Orange-amber color with a medium, thick head. Nice Amarillo nose, oranges, peaches, nice malt. A bit sweet, some caramel, fruit, peppery finish. Decent enough but not convinced.

Tap at Keyaki Spring 2017. Nose of citrusy hops and crackery malt. Golden orange color with a low heat. A bit thick and heavy for a session. Quite malty, but nice citrus fruit coming through from the hops. Ok.

Tap at Towa in Ueno. A very opaque gold with a bright white head of foam. The aroma is herbal lemongrass while the taste is sweet orange creamsicle on a medium body that is very smooth. A winner, I like it.

Draft - Sweet plum, some anise and ’Asian’ notes. Clear gold with a small white head. Sweet, plum and fruity notes with raisin. Very liqueur like.

Draft - Very light toast if anything at all. Dark clear brown with a decent beige head. Light darker malts and not much else. Pretty bland.
