Fall Keyaki 2015. Clear orange with a small off-white head that lingers throughout. Good lacing as well. Champagne, rice, pear, apple and light grain on the nose. Smooth with average carbonation. On tap at Ibaraki Bakuon. Romantic Mura Tochi no Kuro 5% a deep black with a ruby highlights. The aroma is savoury chocolate syrup. Med-light bodied this is bitter chocolate fudge on a raspy carbonated body. Decent but I’d like a somewhat fuller body.

Draft at ibaraki Bakuon. Romantic Mura Hidogawa Onsen Mugishu Dortmund 5% A clear deep gold with a minimal head. The aroma is an incredibly bready maltiness with earthy noble hops. The taste is earthy hops, a light spicy hop bite in the finish and clean biscuity malts. An impressively clean lager. Really good, the more I drank the more I liked it. Ap 4 ar 7 t 8 p 4 o 15

On tap at cbm koenji. Clear copper color with a nice soapy off-white head. Huge tropical fruit bouquet nose with grapefruit, papaya and passion fruit taking over. Average carbonation with a oily mouthfeel. Really rastes bright and fresh. Bitter on the palate with a touch of honey. This is as good as anything coming from the west coast. Tap at Keyaki Spring 2015. Nose of tobacco, lemon, grapefruit. A bit faint and spicy. Piny, musky flavor, rather earthy. This hop does not stand out much.

Tap at Keyaki Spring 2015. Big Sorachi nose, oily, wood, lemon, some caramel. Oily and smooth, prickly, nicely lemony. Quite nicely done Sorachi showcase. Good use of a hop I often do not enjoy.

Tap at Keyaki Spring 2015. Nice dank fruit nose, orangtes. Clear orange-gold. Goo Mosaic flavor, spicy, fresh, sweet malt, oranges, mango, dank. Full, smooth body. Best of the four.
