Pours very dark brown with a small off-white head.Nose shows roasted coffee, sweet crystal malt, soft roasted malt, piny and resinous hops. Tempting.Quite similar flavours, a good mix of coffee and roasted malt along with more pine. Seems to finish a bit abruptly though.Body feels a bit watery.

Pours deep amber with a large head.Malty aroma with biscuity and cookie dough notes along with some grapefruit and soft spicy hops. Lovely malt character.Malty flavours too, with more biscuity and cookie doughy characters. Less hops but there’s still a distinct spicy hit and a well-balanced assertive bitterness.Body feels a little lacking.

A lovely dirty Brown head gives off aromas of caramel and marshmallow with a little citrus to boot. The taste is a nice combination of sweet malt and sour hops with a pleasant nutty finish.

This was called simply the Black Coffee IPA, but I assume it’s the same beer - bought on tap from the Prince Wine Store Essendon. The aroma was an intoxicating mix of coffee, grapefruit and smoke. In the mouth it was more hoppy, but the same basic elements were there. Perhaps the only knock on it is that the palate was a little thin. A really nice drop, and I’m kind of regretting that I shared my 1l squealer with a friend

Pours like a bud light with a mad head transplanted onto it. The aroma is a nice, complex melange of cloves, banana, strawberry, pepper and apples. The banana dominates more clearly on the tongue with a good deal of refreshing citrus, some cloves and pepper. It has a nice creamy texture and good length. Bravo.
