Month old pint can A: Poured quite a deep dark orange gold for the style with a big frothy beige head that quickly fell flat. S: Honey, graham cracker, and faint tart lime show before the usual dry vinous fruit notes are noticed. T: Goddamn! OK this is wrong. Puckering lime obscures everything. M: Who cares, this is all fucked up. O: Hey Birdsong, next time you make a gose just call it a fucking gose.

5 week old pint can A: Poured clear deep amber gold with 1 of thick fluff that held up very well, leaving stringy lace. S: Very floral and doughy aroma with green melon notes cutting the sweetness. T: Moderately bitter and sweet at once with sweet flowers, bread and wood giving way to a delicious lingering orange flavor. M: Medium light with stiff carbonation and a lightly rough, oily finish. O: No traditional helles, but undeniably extremely tasty.

6 week old pint can A: Poured hard to 1 of light brown bubbly foam. Black with tea colored highlights. Very good retention and sheets of lace. S: Coffee, cream, sweet chocolate, caramel and faint vanilla. T: Bitter roasty grains and coffee dominate but allow a sweet creaminess to emerge. Vanilla and sweetness are subtle and nice. M: Smooth texture, light carbonation and an ashy, sticky finish. O: Quite a change-up from the light sweet nose to the mostly bitter roasty flavor. As tasteful as it is tasty. Extremely good.

2 week old pint can A: Poured a dull, dirty brownish orange color with 1/2 of tight foam that held up well and laced in sheets. S: Light but fresh lemon and caramel scent. Also a hint of sweet cherry. T: Sweet, malty and hot with alcohol. Caramel leads with muddled sweet/tart fruity flavors joining. Floral hops and biscuit. Cloying. M: Medium full body with a thick sticky feel and low carbonation. O: Unbalanced. Sweetness totally overshadows the effect of the hops. I doubt I could drink two in a row. Not my thing.

Crystal clear golden coloured body with a thinnish head, only a centimetre tall, pure white and fades fast. Aroma of slightly soured lemons, tart fruits, a lot of brine and salt along with some wheat and a dry note towards the end. Light-bodied; Salty and very briny flavours at first with a lot of lemons and tart berries along with a very dry and almost herbal malts that shows a touch of grain. Strong wheat and tart fruit notes show towards the end with some light sweetness and a large amount of salt and brine at the very end that makes this quite refreshing with the heat. Aftertaste is sweet, sour, salty and very refreshing with a good deal of flavours, profile and complexity - quite nice for the style, while being very easy-drinking. Overall, a very nice gose that hits well, shows a lot of flavours and has seemingly an equal amount of brine and tart notes. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from The Good Bottle Company in Charlotte, North Carolina on 09-May-2018 for US$3,00 sampled just over two years later at my house here in Washington on 21-May-2020.

Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head that burns away quickly to a film. Short strings of lace. Grassy hop, fruit and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hops, citrus and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.
