Brewery draught, 8/14/22. Clear amber. Off-white head shows moderate retention. Light acetic and strong lactic acidity with grainy malts and low-to-moderate toasted malt character. Vanilla, apple, cherry and white pepper with an almost oxidation-like character alongside light vanilla. Soft, malty, fruity, toasty and strongly tart. Good balance and attenuation with lingering pepper and tartness.

Brewery draught, 8/14/22. Moderately hazy, lemon-brass-golden. Small, white head, low retention. Pine and low yeast with soft juice coming on strong. Grainy biscuit and wheat-like notes soften the orange juice. Bit of alcohol and a hint of resin. Soft, but very dry with a peppery and piney character that slowly gives way to soft fruity yeast and biscuit. Some orange juice, rose water and juicy citrus with ample bitterness.

Draft at The Farm House. Clear golden, small creamy white head. Sweet malty aroma, bread, grainy. Taste is sweet and bready, full creamy body, light notes of vanilla.nice.

An at home. Light yellow pour rather clear. Decent sized head. Nose is citrus and wine. Tastes of Sauvignon blanc, grass, coriander, stone fruits, yeasty. Little sweet and floral finish.

Can - pours gold white head - nose/taste of pineapple, lemon, pine, light malt - medium bodied

50cl bottle pours a clear caramel amber with some white head. Nose is boozy, grapes, maple, bread. Flavor is sweet with maple and cream soda, brandy, red grape. Finishes boozy and sticky.

Bottle from the September DC RB Tasting. Poured a clear, dark orange copper color with a small off-white head. Aroma was toffee, light grape. Touch of bourbon. Flavor was similar, light sweet toffee notes. Touch of bourbon sweetness. Maple. Warming finish, but not overly hot.

From a 500 ml bottle at the RB DC gathering 9/30/18. Pours a clear orange copper with an off white head. Aromas are caramel and bourbon. Flavors are sweet caramel with some sour grapes.

Lightly gushing, chestnut and mahogany brown beer with strong ruddy currents and a dark beige with rich butter tinged head atop showing moderate-to-strong carbonation. Sediment stirred up from gushing but otherwise clear.
Nose is very interesting and different. Rum raisin sits lightly in there, with sweet toffee mixing with light lactic and acetic acids. Strong oak undercurrent, though it's not toasty, thankfully. Vanilla, bread, cereal and very fruity, almost tart coffee-like notes (must be the cascara) with a strong dried cherry, prune and fig-like character. Not too much acid, nor does it seem jumbled. I like that it's a dark or amber sour without any big balsamic-like notes. While there's acetic acid here, it's light and just another aspect of the beer.
In the mouth it's soft, oily-to-malty with an oaky flavor of old wood mixing with cherry, cinnamon, rum, vanilla and cereal. Tartness is strong throughout but balanced pretty well by the malt and earthy, fruity flavors. Tight, natural carbonation and appropriate attenuation. A touch of alcohol and sourness lingers, but this is lovely, interesting stuff.
