Description
Tatamagouche's very own organic craft brewery!

Many years ago, a two-headed calf came to Tatamagouche. We think it's no coincidence that he happened to show up here. After all, Tatamagouche is a place of many strange and wonderful things. It's a little town with big ideas. A town that's always looking forward while still keeping an eye on the past. This two-headed place is our home and it inspired us to make good beer for good people. Beer that just happens to be a mix of the traditional and the unexpected.

We are the Tatamagouche Brewing Company.
Let's raise a glass to Pure Tatamagoodness.

Poured from 500mL bottle (thanks Taylor). Near black with beige head. A bit of iodine and feint tartness with some mild dark sugars. Close to turning.

500mL bottle, pours black with a medium beige head. Aroma has a rather muddled peated character, with a light-to-medium roast base. Flavour is muddled and almost a bit sour, with lower-quality whiskey barrels, almost a bit of tartness, and medium roast. The barrels aren't all that impressive, and that palate is too tart and thin. Not too impressed with this one, but it's not bad.

Dark brown. The aroma is sourish, smokey. On the palate, it's cleaner, has some peat smoke, decent body...maybe a touch more of that tartness...this might be starting to turn. Some nice brown sugars.

750ml @ Sales Force. Appearance: hazy cherry-ish with a white head. Aroma: funky, loads of berries with raspberries and cherries dominated, barrel notes. Taste: along the same lines, not very acidic, berries are mostly fermented out, though. Overall: pretty good.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy bright red with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with fresh raspberries, gentle cherries, and strawberries, with plenty of funk and oak. Flavour is really fruity and berry-heavy, with intense raspberries, cherries and strawberries, accentuated by the wild yeast and oak. That's some pungent fruit, and a really nice cohesiveness from the funk and oak. Excellent.

Pinkish, some haze. No head. Has a mellow tartness, lots of cherry, with raspberry. Good balance. I like the complexity, and the fruit is coming together really nicely.

22oz @ Ryan's shared with Farees. Appearance: cloudy blonde with a white head. Aroma: Brett, rustic, esters. Taste: along the same lines, quite Brett bitter, somewhat fruity. Overall: that's quite fine, but nothing more than that.

Poured from 500mL bottle (abv listed as 12.6%; thanks Taylor). Very dark brown with small beige head. Chocolate, cognac, some tart dried fruit. As it warms up, it has more flavour. Decent.
