Many years ago, a two-headed calf came to Tatamagouche. We think it's no coincidence that he happened to show up here. After all, Tatamagouche is a place of many strange and wonderful things. It's a little town with big ideas. A town that's always looking forward while still keeping an eye on the past. This two-headed place is our home and it inspired us to make good beer for good people. Beer that just happens to be a mix of the traditional and the unexpected.
We are the Tatamagouche Brewing Company.
Let's raise a glass to Pure Tatamagoodness.

Dark brown, with a fairly thick head. The aroma has a fairly toasty accent, but there's some fruitiness and a bit of alcohol in there as well. On the palate, it's got a rich molasses character - that's a really nice sugary character. Medium body. Just a touch of roast, and a balanced alcohol in the finish.

650mL bottle, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma has plenty of dry toasted malt, some earthy roast, dry cocoa powder, and a touch of cola. Flavour is quite roasty for a Baltic porter, with plenty of earthy roast, dry cocoa, and some toasted malt. Dry, toasty finish. Almost more like a robust porter than Baltic porter. Good.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Nose has plenty of spicy ginger upfront, with some bugs, subdued peaches, and soft oak. Flavour is quite tart, with sour, juicy peaches, mixed bugs, nice incorporation of the ginger—potent without stealing the show—and reasonable acidity. Cohesive, good bugginess, good acidity. This works pretty well.

Pale, and slight haze. The aroma has some ginger up front, a bit of peach. Bright fruit. The acidity is medium, a bit yeasty. The ginger comes through in the finish a fair bit, making it refreshing and combining well with the peach.

750mL bottle. Pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Lots of rustic, farmhouse funk and musty peaches on the nose. Flavour has a nice rustic yeast character, musty peaches, some sharp ginger accents near the finish that are a nice touch. Solid, well-integrated.

On tap at Stillwell Freehouse. Pours very dark brown with a beige head. Toasted bread crusts and spruce tips on the nose. Flavour has dry toasted malts, bread crusts, and crisp spruce tips. Simple, but does what it does nicely.
