Description
Winterlong Brewing Co. was a dream that started in the summer of 2014.
Marko and Meghan Marjanovic had been homebrewing for 10 years, and finally decided to take the risk and start a brewery. They secured a lease, applied for a licence, and ordered brewing equipment during the fall and winter of 2014.
Our philosophy is simple: we brew the beer we want to drink.
Winterlong Brewing Co. is a small, craft brewery. We focus on creating beer that is bold in flavour. Our beer is unfiltered in order to maximize flavour and aroma.

I definitely get some raspberry. Plenty of spruce, some sweet sap. Clear golden orange pour. Light sweet and some bitter end. Can.

Quite pale, hazy, thin head. Lemony, floral hop nose. Medium bitterness, again lemony, herbaceous hop character, lean pale malt that leaves a bit of doughy sweetness.

473mL can, pours a clear amber wjth a small beige head. Aroma has a nice resinous hop character, bready caramel, and toasted nuts. Flavour has quite evocative resinous hops, a touch of pine, bready malt, and some toasted caramel. Nice balance between caramel and resinous hops, finishing malty but bitter. Very good.

473mL can, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma has some melon, grassy hops, light pine, and biscuity malt. Flavour is quite bitter, with lots of grassy hops, some pine, herbal notes, and biscuity malt. Super bitter finish, with lots of grass, herbal, and pine. A bit strange on the hop character. It's alright.

473ml can. (2023 vintage). Pours an opaque black with a small, creamy, short lived, brown head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, molasses, oak and whiskey. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, licorice, molasses, dark chocolate and oak in a dry, mild bitter, whiskey warming finish. Medium to full body with a sticky, oily texture and soft carbonation. A bit of heat from the alcohol, but some aging would smooth this out.

473mL can. Pours pitch black with medium tan head. Aroma full of roasted malt and milk chocolate. Flavour also big on the roasted malt and chocolate with a nice amount of bitterness from the hops. Mouthfeel very thick and smooth; not syrupy. Not super complex, but very nice.

2022 vintage. 473 ml can. Pours amber with a light head and some suspended particles. Aromas of oak, melons, fruity esters, and toasted malts. Flavors follow same. Not getting much Bourbon influence but the oak and Belgian yeast play well. Very nice except fo the floating stuff…

2023 vintage. 473 ml can. Pours black with short dark tan head that settles quickly. Aromas toasted oak, chocolate nougat, raisins and soft toasty malts. Flavors of oak, slick dark chocolate and roasted malts. A little acidic and boozy on the finish but otherwise quite good.
