The renovation story of the estate has been in sync with our own growing pains. Some years with larger construction works, some years not that much, but there has been constant mutual bettering. In 2013, when the last bits of the house had been refurbished, the car had to move out from its brand-new pigsty-turned-garage to make room for cider. Famously, a garage is the best place to start a venture.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Hopped cider rating #50. Golden colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of floral fruity, hop. Taste is tart, green apple, fleshy, citric fruity, floral hoppy, slight funk, acidic. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry fruity hop finish. Nicely drinkable.

24/9/2020. Bottle courtesy of martjoobolut, cheers Mart! Pours hazy pale gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of green apple, citrus, flowers, hops, a little apple pie and a hint of rubber. Moderate sweetness and tartness. Moderate body, average carbonation. Dry, moderately tart and tannic finish. Enjoyable.

Wazig bleek geel met wit randje. Droge peer, licht zuur, fris, beetje melig, twijgjes, tannines en water. Ik vind het nog wel prettig drinkbaar maar het is wel erg droog. --- Beer merged from original tick of Cognac Cask Aged Dry Cider (2018) on 19 Feb 2021 at 23:24 - Score: 7. Original review text: Vintage 2018. Hazy pale straw. Dry, light sweet and light sour apple juice. Green twigs, cottony softening from Cognac barrel notes. Tight with some BA complexity. Enjoy this a bit more than last time I tried it.

Bottle shared at home. Slight hazy pale yellow wirh no real head. Very dry earthy apple, moss, dry oak, leathery, mineral funk, pear skins. I don't get much cognac... Light bitter, no sweetness and a hint of tart apple. Over light bodied, quite dry. A little bland and dusty dry.

375 ml dark green and slim bottle, vintage 2017, from Être Gourmet, Belgium. ABV is 12%. Clear and deep golden to amber colour, still. Very nice and concentrated aroma of apple juice and apple skin. Very sweet and intense flavour of concentrated apple juice / apple cider, mainly from dessert apples. A fine ice cider.

(Bottle, 0.75 l - BB 06.10.2028, from Uba ja Humal, 2020821) The cider poured golden, clear and fizzy. Its head was small, white and fizzy. Aroma had pears and lightly tartness. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were pears, tartness, fruitiness, yeast and light sourness. Aftertaste was yeasty and lghtly sour. A decent dry perry. .

Pours clear, very pale yellow. Scent is funky, raw apples, hops give it aa bit of a chemical like feature though. Taste is sharp, acidic, dry, funky, brett, appleskins. hops are very, very hidden.

Vintage 2018. Pale and hazy, no head. Mild sour apples, outpowered by lemony fruity and elderflower floral hops. Mild sweet and medium sour. Low carb. Good bit of hop power going on.
