Bottle. This one weighs in at 7.4%. Appearance - champagne type of pop on opening, then steady bubbles. It's golden amber. Nose - another cider with that bitter, sweet and sour thing going on at the same time. An edge of oak at the back, but mainly tart (yet sweet) apples. Taste - bone dry apples, moving into apple skin territory. The oak comes through again at the back. Palate - palate-splitting dryness. Long and lean. Overall - well made, maybe the extreme dryness would lend itself to food-matching.

75cl bottle. This one is 6.9%. Appearance - almost clear white/water in colour. A hint of yellow, just. Steady bubbles. Nose - farmyard funky note up front, then bruised apples. Not getting as much pear as apple. Taste - initial hit is of apple skin, but then the sweet pear note comes through and takes over. Palate - light bodied, but intense including carbonation. Fairly sweet in the middle but finishes dry enough. Overall - good.

Bottle split at L6, thanks to Danny, 25/07/18. Very lightly hazed golden yellow with a decent off white cap. Nose is funky apple, smoked straw, light medicinal notes, earthy apple. Taste comprises apple skins, tannins, vinous, light pear drop, smoked straw, peated notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Ok if a touch overly smoky for my liking.
