Bottle sampled. Pours hazy golden with no head. Aroma tart and sweet pears with wood and toffee. Flavour is over moderate sweet and light acidic with a very dry mouthfeel, particularly in the finish. Medium bodied with flat carbonation.

Polycask at Banbury Beer Festival, Thursday 8th May 2014 Hazy light straw colour. Softer than the Barbourne trio. A slight combination of sulphour and pear drops on the nose. Soft, fruity pearyness, juicy, good. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Polycask at Banbury Beer Festival, Thursday 8th May 2014 Clear gold, quite a tang described as med/sweet by the producer but more medium, not a lot of sweetness, a real prickly appleyness. V.good. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

500ml bottle from Hereford Cider Museum. Pours clear gold with a fresh-pressed cider apple nose. A light, still blend that seems more Medium Dry than Dry and with a light, soothing fruitiness from the Frederick apples and zero tannins. Summery and refreshing.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2014. Hazy green gold silver Perry colour. Some perry chemical aroma. But sweetish fruit pear in mouth. Quite aggressive up front but sweet in the mouth. Finish is sweet sour balance. Ok.

At the Euston Cider Tap. Still and orange-yellow. Aroma of vinegar and orchard fruit. Taste is a bit straightforward and disappointing. Short finish. A lovely perry but one that fails to stamp its individuality.

Draught @ Euston Cider Tap. Notes are pretty limited on this one as I was more than a few ciders in at this point. Fruity yet rather acidic with a confident dryness on the finish. Couldn’t help thinking of my welcoming visit to Broome Farm earlier in the year when drinking this. Will have to return again soon.

Bottle. Crystal clear bright golden color, few bubbles that rapidly settle. Aroma of dusty pear skins, pear flesh, applesauce, subtle vanilla. Taste is slightly tart fruit, light citrus, dry finish. Tasty.

Clear golden colour, no real head. Aroma of barn, brett, wild funk, rain water and apple. Quite unbalanced in the funk. Flavour apple, brett, barnyard, leather, gueuze-like notes. Medium to soft carbonation, finish leather, apple, horse saddle and funky notes. Lingering green potato. Nice and wild cider, somewhat unbalanced but very enjoyable.
