500ml bottle, takeout from The Fighting Cocks, Oakengates. Pours clear copper, no head. Still. Taste is smooth and clean. Smooth fruity apple character leading to a dry finish. A touch of vanilla but altogether not too complex.

Bottle from Middle Farm Cider Centre. It pours clear deep gold with a quickly dissipating white head. The nose is musty, earthy, farmyard funk, light manure, sweet apple and apple skin. The taste is crisp, bitter, earthy, apple skin, drying astringency, touch of apple pie, some alcohol heat and sweet honeyed apple in the background with a rather dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Pretty unique stuff. Not for those with a sweet tooth!
