From the box at the Alma. Pours a clear, pale yellow. Great rich apple nose, some candied sugar. Very dank flavor, quite dry, not too sweet, some grass and (oddly) very faint apples. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Bone dry finish, weak apple presence, now real booze. So so.

Plastic barrel at Planet Thanet 2011. It pours very pale straw yellow, with no carbonation or head. The nose is cheese, super-funky farmyard, lime, yeast, peach and subtle whisky. The taste is sweet Cox apple, chamomile, lemon, well hidden alcohol and cinnamon. It has initial lip-smacking sourness, which smoothes out to sweet apple and leaves the mouth numb. Very light, crisp and smooth. Really well balanced and drinkable.
