Der Inhalt der Flasche überrasvht erst einmal, da das Bier bis 2 mm unter den Plopp Verschluss reicht und so bei nur leichtem Schütteln schon spritzt ohne Ende. Der Geruch ist würzig und ich rieche mal wieder spuren von Soja, was mich jedesmal an meinen Geruchsnerven zweifeln lässt. Im Glas riecht es dann eher alkoholisch. Den Alkoholgehalt schmeckt man während des gesamten Verkostungsprozesses nicht heraus, für mich positiv. Antrunk und Mittelteil sind zwar recht würzig, wirken aber durch den geringen CO2 Anteil und den wie schon beschrieben nicht schmeckbaren Alkoholgehalt für einen Doppelbock ziemlich mild. Im Nachgeschmack weicht die Würze langsam einem röstmalzigen Aroma. Für einen Doppelbock bestimmt zu mild, für mich aber ein sehr gutes Bier. Swing-top bottle: Pale golden coloured, mid-sized white, quickly diminishing head; sweet (pale-)malty nose, a bit soapy; light, sweetish and mild flavour; short, grainy and a bit citrusy finish, nearly without any bitterness. Thirst quenching, but quite boring...............

Das bernsteinfarbende Bier beginnt schön ausgewogen malzig und wird im Mittelteil leicht hopfig. Der Nachgeschmack dagegen ist mit mit metallernem Unterton eher schlecht gelungen. Die Bezeichnung "Weihnachtsbier" ist wohl durch das milde Aroma etwas missglückt, ansonsten würde ich es unter der Kategorie "gerne wieder" einordnen. (swing top bottle) Clear amber colour with a big and fluffy off-white head. Aroma of sweet roasted malts, caramel with shy hops. Medium sweet roastmalty taste with caramel, almost watery dry and light bitter finish. All in all not really bad but very mediocre.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pilsener golden with a creamy, white head. Malty nose. Marked, sweet malt and a rather soft mouthfeel. Almost no bitterness. Very classical Helles. 271105

500 ml swingtop bottle, bought in Bier Spezi Hamburg. Chestnut coloured, decent light tan head. Rich malty aroma with notes of moderate roastiness, caramel, marzipan and bakery, hints of red fruits. Flavour is malty sweet but not overdone, notes of caramel and dark bread, but a decent hoppy bitterness in the finish makes it very drinkable and moreish. Good beer!

500 ml swingtop bottle, bought in Bier Spezi Hamburg. Brown colour, large off-white head. Malty and fruity sweet aroma (raisins), some caramel and spices too. Pleasant flavour with vinous notes, hints of oak, malts are well balanced with the hops. I won’t need wood cutting as an excuse to drink this beer. Very nice!

Bottle. Malty aroma, a little spicy and yeasty. Brown colour, small head. Malty flavour with a clear yeast aftertaste which I do not care for.

(bottle) Clear and pale golden colour with a foamy white medium head. Malty and doughy aroma with wet hay and a dense fruity note. Smooth mouthfeel with a moderately sweet malty taste, slightly fruity and a crispy light bitter finish. Decent and refreshing Helles.
