Sampled from bottle at "Hooghe Noorden Tasting 2025". Opaque pitch black color, virtually no head. Aroma and flavor are malts, heavy soy sauce, soy sauce bitter. Hmm no, not my kind of beer.

750ml bottle won from BillyT. It pours like motor oil... darkest brown to black with a small tan head. The aroma is unctuous, rich, oily, super dark roasted malt, molasses, treacle, malt loaf, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, Eccles cake, black bun, big bourbon character, huge vanilla, toffee, toasted coconut, bounty bar and toasted brown sugars. The taste is slick, oily, chewy, heavy, toothy, slick, dark roasted malt, burnt toast, coffee grounds, tar, molasses, treacle, boozey warmth, toffee, bourbon soaked oak, umami, liquorice allsorts, warming booze, dark chocolate, touch of tannin, leather, vanilla and toasted coconut with a drying, chewy and more savoury finale. Full+ body, fine prickly carbonation and motor oil mouth feel. Absolutely ludicrous stuff. Huge, decadent and unctuous. Not sure I could take down a bottle myself, but this is a very enjoyable festive tipple.

Pale, hazy. There’s a bit of phenols, fruity, stone fruit, peachy with a juicy acidity. Balanced,.

750mL bottle, courtesy of Ibrew2or3 (thanks Dave), pours a hazy orange with a tiny head. Nose is slightly oxidized, with plenty of wild yeast, low-level phenolic notes, oak, and some red wine tannins. Flavour is slightly oxidized, some red wine tannins, wild bugs, and appropriate acidity. A little too old probably but has good integration. Very good.

750ml (thx, Brent L.!) @ Ryan's shared with Phill.
Aroma: funky, minerals, some fruitiness, and kinda car exhausts.
Taste: along the same lines, a bit more in the acidic side.
Overall: interesting, but probably has that off flavour. Still don't believe that their microflora is worth to be chosen to ferment saisons.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Hazed gold with small white head. Saison with a bit of tartness upfront and a very feint spelt like character, the Pinot Noir is super subtle. Very interesting when comparing verbal tasting notes - Sergiy, Phill and I all picked up different unique notes - car exhaust fumes (Sergiy), diacetyl (Phill), and spelt (me).

Wineglass showing pitch black with half a finger of latte colored foam.

The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Moderately tart with light flavors roasted malts and a mild espresso finish.

Bottle at CBJ Tasting. Oily of appearance. Aroma is boozy with dark fruit and molasses. Flavourwise it's quite smooth - dark dough, spice, chewy, dark fruit. Thick. Oily. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Easy going.

Tasting at CBJ, thanks to Leighton for the panda. Opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly dark tan head. Smooth palate, fairly light, reasonable fine carbonation, fine for this brew. Smooth if fairly light bodied dark malts, smooth chocolate. Massive bourbon but not too boozy or spicy. Ripe bourbon soaked fruits. Fabulously drinkable.
